SnapRoll Media 2012 Reel

This highly specific showreel by SnapRoll Media consists entirely of remote controlled aerial footage. You wouldn’t have guessed, though, it’s all silky smooth and extremely high quality. They are true experts in their field and make aerial footage affordable and personal.

Brain Farm Cinema's 2011 Reel

Cinematography showreels always have a special place in my heart. They convey an emotionality that can seldomly be captured by digitally created images. Brain Farm Cinema, a full service cinematography boutique, provides us with an extrordinary entry to our growing collection of showreels. Their claim of putting “a distinct touch on any of your production needs” seems entirely justified. This reel is a strong contender for my favourite reel of this season.

stephon karolus cinematography showreel 2011

Enjoy this amazing cinematography showreel from Stephon Karolus. You can’t tell from the footage but he did all this completely by himself, without a crew. He’s one of the few contributors I know in person and worked with so I can assure you he’s a fantastic cinematographer, an absolute professional and an all around great guy. He’s currently looking for work so don’t hesitate to give him a call.

Charles_Bergquist_2011

Today we have something very special for you: a showreel purely focused on slow-motion. And not the usual kind of slow-mo, but really high-speed footage. You won’t believe what kind of quality can be achieved with comercially available camers these days. After watching this reel I have a feeling we need to check this out back here at our little production company. But for now I would highly recommend Charles Bergquist if you need some amazing pictures in ultra-slow-motion.

Clash_Productions_2011

Very, very cool und very stylish, such is the Clash Production Showreel 2011. This studio focuses exclusively on Motor Sports but the showreel is not what you might expect. Take a look, you won’t regret it.

The longer I curate this site the more I enjoy our cinematography showreels. Nothing beats the real world and there is always new stuff to learn about framing and lighting.

INTENSITY!!! Are you awake now? Amin Oussar sent us his cinematography showreel and boy is it intense. I’m off to play some Battlefield 3 now to get rid of the adrenaline.

(Also: it contains Ralf Richter, who is always a joy to see. You don’t need to know German to enjoy this clip.)

Have some real footage for a change! I couldn’t help but love Romaric Croisile’s cinematography: it’s clean, smart and overall beautiful. I’d bet on a background in photography, judging from the framing and overall picture-design. Great stuff all around, you’ll definitely enjoy it. let me see »

Jean-Philippe_Polo_2011

Jean-Philippe from Paris sent us this beautiful cinematography showreel. The titles at the beginning make you want to gauge your eyes out, but the footage that follows is really worth it.

[NSFW: contains mild nudity]
