Ra-ey_Saleh_2011

I couldn’t help but add this showreel from Ra-ey Saleh. It’s not as fancy as most of the other reels we show here, but it offers a very interesting insight into how much post-production goes into TV-shows that seem pretty straighforward and unedited on the first glimpse. Later in the reel it also becomes obvious how much layering even seemingly simple VFX-shots require. It’s solid, high-quality broadcast work and I find it quite fascinating.

Glenn_Hatton_2011

It’s only been a couple of months since we posted Glenn Hatton’s 2010 showreel and he’s been pretty busy since. Apparently “2D is not dead” and he’s constantly improving on his already quite amazing skills. He sent us his latest showreel and I think you should watch it.

I’m a bit busy at the moment with all the success of MARCREA and whatnot, so updates have been slower than I’d like them to be. Today I found the time to dig up a worthwhile showreel for you, though. Have some interesting footage and graphics from “WHERE THERE’S SMOKE”. Lot’s of trendy and edgy images, just what you need if you’re targeting the MTV demographic.

Who said 2D-animation was dead? Glenn Hatton from Australia does some amazing work in 2D and the projects featured in his showreel look fantastic (and hilarious).

A reel strictly dedicated to the art of graffiti? It makes sense when it’s 3D-animated! This is some impressive work, artistically and technically, and well worth watching.

Erwann Baudet from France sent in his CG/VFX showreel and it’s full of digital goodness. After graduating from the Art Paris School he quickly found a home in the more technical side of VFX and toured the international circuit of high-end production for 8 years before becoming the FX Technical Director at Animal Logic in Sydney.
