What would have happened if the 80s started just now? You might find the answer here! Vincent Viriot combines retro aesthetics with the latest in VFX and the result is simply astounding. This is certainly one of the most surprising and creative showreels I’ve seen all year and it’s absolutely worth watching.

GKaster aka Bright Photon aka Pierre Magnol hasn’t released a showreel in a while, but his 2010 demoreel is still absolutely worth watching. It has a very distict look and the overall production value is quite fantastic. Great music, great visuals and great art direction make this one a pleasure to watch.

Motion graphics are made by people, not studios. Francois Ferracci reminds us of this undeniable fact with his latest showreel after his departure from piksel. In his own words:

Chris Wong Showreel 2011
The best thing about editing showreels is the great editing, obviously. Chris Wong has some very nice direction and editing work to show and he set it beautifully to the music of his choice. Cool work, indeed.

I’m a bit busy at the moment with all the success of MARCREA and whatnot, so updates have been slower than I’d like them to be. Today I found the time to dig up a worthwhile showreel for you, though. Have some interesting footage and graphics from “WHERE THERE’S SMOKE”. Lot’s of trendy and edgy images, just what you need if you’re targeting the MTV demographic.

French director Marc Fouchard sent in his 2010 showreel. It’s the typical french mixture of cheeky humor, beautiful shots and overall attention to detail. It just feels a little short, we certainly could’ve watched more of this.
